Food CHI is proud to host Vancity at the gardens to accept their support for the launch of a new program at SRG this summer: Backyard Bounty Hands on Teaching & Mentoring for backyard gardeners (novice or experienced). Come walk about the garden, hear about the program, and enjoy a cup of tea and cookies. All Sooke area residents who wish to produce some of their own food are welcome.

About the program
Backyard Bounty Hands on Teaching & Mentoring will be open to all Sooke area residents who wish to produce some of their own food. The 10 to 12 hour sessions (over 4 weeks) will be offered from May to August. Sessions will be taught Paula McCormick utilizing Linda Gilkeson’s book Backyard Bounty as the course text.
