Do you have apples that you are wondering what to do with? You can make your own cold-pressed organic apple juice.

Sooke Region Food CHI’s apple press is available on the days listed above. Volunteers will show you how to use the press and get you started making your own apple juice. Bring at least 15 pounds of apples and your containers. Apples should be mature, washed, and must be free from decay. Containers should be wide mouthed with tight lids.

Bring a cooler to store your juice until you get home. Once you get home, the easiest way to keep the apple juice, is to freeze the juice.

Did you know? Apple juice contains vitamin A, C and B6 and includes important minerals like calcium, potassium, phosphorous, magnesium, and iron.

Rent the Apple Press

Do you have an abundance of apples? You can now rent the apple press. The fee is $40 for a 24-hour period with a $50 deposit that is refunded when the press is returned in good condition. A Sooke Food CHI member will demonstrate how to use the press to you. See the rental agreement here.

Contact info@sookefoodchi.ca to rent the apple press and include your preferred dates and phone number.
