A Taste of Harvest Feast

To farmers and foodies, summer is a time of long days with our hands in the soil, making the most of the growing season. As summer wraps up, the days are just as long with harvesting, canning and freezing.

For time out of mind, people have come together to celebrate the abundance of the harvest. Sooke is no different. For one evening, we will take a break from our labours to share a meal with friends and neighbours.

To that end, Sooke Region Food CHI is pleased to present the community feast:   A Taste of Harvest.

Many local farmers and Sunriver gardeners will be contributing their hard-earned produce to the feast. Ticket holders need only bring a cup, a plate, and cutlery to eat with and a blanket or chair to sit on. This will help with an easy clean up for the many people volunteering to help with this feast.

Locally harvested seafood will compliment the bounty of locally grown roots and vegetables prepared by local chef, Pia Carroll; all served in a garden party setting at Sooke’s own Sunriver Community & Allotment Garden.
